In this Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-nominated comedy by Craig Lucas (The Light in the Piazza) a whirlwind romance takes a startling turn at Rita (Parisse) and Peter's (Tudyk) wedding when an uninvited guest (Tony Award® winner John Mahoney) congratulates the bride with a kiss. John Mahoney, best known for playing Martin Crane on "Frasier," won a Tony® for his Broadway debut in The House of Blue Leaves and has appeared in numerous plays with Steppenwolf. Annie Parisse was a series regular on "Law & Order," and has appeared in films including Prime, Monster-in-Law, and National Treasure, and recently finished a run in The Internationalist at the Vineyard Theater. Old Acquaintance stars Margaret Colin (A Day in the Death of Joe Egg) as Kit and Tony Award®-winner Harriet Harris (Thoroughly Modern Millie) as Milly in this deliciously witty comedy of manners that chronicles a tumultuous friendship of the upper-crust set. Once a powerful, hard-hearted showbiz agent, Howard Katz has lost everything: his career, his family-even his self-respect. But it's in the midst of this freefall Katz learns that only by looking back at what he's lost can he find the faith to move forward.
Alfred Molina made his Roundabout stage debut in the American Premiere of Brian Friel's Molly Sweeney during the 1995-1996 Off-Broadway season. Molina was recently nominated for a Tony® Award for his performance as "Tevye" in the 2004 Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof.
