by MOSS HART and GEORGE S. KAUFMAN
directed by JERRY ZAKS
In this hilarious romp, a pompous writer and critic is forced to stay with a Midwestern family during the winter and thoroughly disrupts their well-ordered lives.
Last seen at Roundabout in She Stoops to Conquer, Tony Award-winner Nathan Lane (Guys and Dolls, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Love! Valour! Compassion!) returns to Broadway as the writer in THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER. Drama Desk Award-nominee Jean Smart (Last Summer at Bluefish Cove, Nicky Silver's Fit To Be Tied, "Designing Women") costars in our fabulous new home on 42nd Street.
Four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks directed Nathan Lane in both Guys and Dolls (Tony Award) and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. His other credits include Six Degrees of Separation (Tony Award), Lend Me a Tenor (Tony Award), The House of Blue Leaves (Tony Award), Smokey Joe's Cafe and Anything Goes.

A premiere from Tony Award-winner Brian Friel (Dancing at Lughnasa) is a "must-see" in any theatre season. Add in a star-studded cast that includes Kate Burton (The Beauty Queen of Leenane), Helen Carey (London Assurance), Michael Emerson (The Iceman Cometh), John Glover (Tony Award winner, Love! Valour! Compassion!), Gawn Grainger (Give Me Your Answer, Do!, London), Joel Grey (Cabaret) and Lois Smith (Impossible Marriage) and you have a very special theatrical event!
GIVE ME YOUR ANSWER, DO! brings together two writers - one a self-loathing
success, the other a self-respecting failure - for a weekend of domestic and artistic rivalry.
