Administration Associate

Roundabout Theatre Company, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatres, seeks an experienced theatre professional to join our management department as the Administration Associate.

The Administration Associate will work closely with the Chief Administrative Officer and Manager of Administration in support of varied and changing institutional projects with a focus on labor relations and future productions. This is a permanent full-time position in our midtown office which offers a regular weekday work schedule and may be tailored to suit the expertise of the selected candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and negotiate artistic, production, and other contracts.
  • Provide day-to-day direction across the organization to ensure agreement terms and internal polices are applied correctly and consistently across multiple theatres and departments.
  • Perform financial research and analysis.
  • Facilitate union negotiations; liaise between Roundabout and labor representatives.
  • Develop and implement department projects; organize and maintain department records.
  • Audit show payroll, theatre settlements, royalties and other payments.
  • Support general managers and other departments in addressing problems as they arise.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in theatrical management required. Prior work in a Broadway general management office or LORT Theatre a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with MSOffice suite. Familiarity with Tessitura is helpful but not required.
Compensation
The Administration Associate position offers a competitive compensation package based on candidate qualifications and experience.
