Individual Giving Officer

Roundabout Theatre Company, the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatre company, seeks a personable individual with impeccable writing skills to join the company’s Development team as an Individual Giving Officer. The position reports to the Director of Individual Giving and is part of a team that is responsible for raising $7.5 million annually as part of a total $16 million goal. This team also supports the $50 million Anniversary Campaign.
  • Cultivate, solicit and steward assigned portfolio of Chairman’s Circle donors and prospects
  • Draft correspondence for Artistic Director’s Circle and Chairman’s Circle solicitations and proposals
  • Oversee timely processing and acknowledgement of Artistic Director’s Circle, Chairman’s Circle, and Yegen Society gifts and pledges
  • Support the Leadership Council advisory board as a liaison by scheduling meetings, taking and distributing meeting minutes
  • Provide backup for Patron’s Desk ticketing efforts
  • Manage donor research efforts for individual giving team
  • Work with special events team to coordinate donor events and attend as necessary
  • Create queries and reports from database for individual giving efforts
  • Write copy for various online and print publications for individual donors
Bachelor’s degree required and English studies/writing certifications a plus. 1-3 years’ experience in development required, preferably in the performing arts field. Attention to detail and ability to take initiative is a must. Excellent communication and computer skills also required. Knowledge of Tessitura or related CMS database a plus.
