Community Impact

IT’S ABOUT INSPIRING KIDS THROUGH ARTS EDUCATION.

Roundabout is home to an award-winning education department that touches the lives of over 5,000 New York City students and 400 educators each year. Education at Roundabout offers students and teachers opportunities to integrate theatre arts into their curriculum through school partnerships, student matinees, and afterschool programming.

As a result of these programs, Education at Roundabout partner schools maintain a 74% graduation rate (compared to the New York City average of 63%) and Student Production Workshop participants boast a staggering 100% graduation rate. For each gift of $25, your support can help one more NYC students participate in these critical programs.

IT’S ABOUT MAKING LIVE THEATRE AFFORDABLE AND ACCESSIBLE.

Roundabout is dedicated to creating an inviting and accommodating theatre experience for all audiences. Through Access Roundabout initiatives, we offer over 40,000 free and discount tickets annually, bringing together people from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds to create a diverse mix of audience members.

Nearly 20% of all Roundabout performances have ancillary activities, such as pre-theatre learning opportunities, sign-interpretation services, and post-theatre talk-backs. A gift of $600 helps underwrite a night at the theatre for Hiptix members (Roundabout’s audience development program for theatre-goers under 35 years of age.)

IT’S ABOUT GIVING BACK TO OUR CREATIVE COMMUNITY.

By supporting Roundabout, you have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping create world-class theatre, while also making a difference in our local economy. As one of the largest cultural institutions in the United States, Roundabout employs more than 1,000 artists, technicians and administrators each year.

What’s more, for every dollar you donate to Roundabout, you are directly generating $1.77 back into our local economy1, driving job creation and business development for a thriving community.
