A commitment to the playwright
At the heart of every production at Roundabout is a good story. We recognize and celebrate our playwrights, composers, and lyricists, whose works are the foundation of everything we produce. To give these words the respect they deserve, we strive to give every play a production of the highest quality.
Under the vision of Artistic Director Todd Haimes, Roundabout works each season to contextualize and develop the careers of numerous playwrights, from established dramatists to the next generation of writers. The 2014–2015 Season highlights the brilliant work of Tom Stoppard (Indian Ink, The Real Thing
) and Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s (Into the Woods
), alongside the world premiere of a talented emerging playwright Jeff Augustin (Little Children Dream of God
). These writers join a long list of others produced by Roundabout in recent years, such as Tennessee Williams, Noël Coward, Arthur Miller, Terence Rattigan, and more. Take an in-depth look
