When you book your group tickets through Education, you’ll get links to our UPSTAGE guides and the opportunity to schedule an Add-On Experience to make your trip to the theatre even more meaningful and memorable. Add-On Experiences

Theatre Access offers a variety of Add-On Experiences for student and adult groups to choose from. From backstage tours, talkbacks, and pre-show workshops, we want to ensure that you’re making the most of your theatre experience. Click here for more information.

Workshops

In addition to the pre-show workshops, which will help connect the production to your curriculum, your students could participate in a Postcard Production workshop.

Postcard Productions give your students the chance to experience the process of creating a theatrical production as they explore how acting, directing, sets, lights and costumes convey meaning in theatre. In the roles of set, costume, lighting and sound designers, stage managers, director, actors and marketing staff, your students will begin with a traditional "Meet and Greet" and then make creative choices as they move through text analysis, design concept meetings and rehearsals. The workshop culminates with teams presenting their own interpretation of an excerpt from a well-known play.

We can also develop a customized workshop to fit the individual objectives of participating educational organizations.

Student Production Workshop

Student Production Workshop (SPW) is a student-run theatre company designed for those who are most at risk for dropping out of school. By creating and driving their own theatrical productions, SPW re-engages kids with their current education.
