Led by the Education at Roundabout Teaching Artists, Add-On Experiences make your trip to the theatre even more meaningful and memorable.
Pre-show discussions are a quick, simple way to bring groups “up to speed” prior to the performance. These can take place in the theatre or in an event space prior to curtain and last approximately 15–20 minutes. These discussions are informal lecture-style with the opportunity to ask questions following the chat. A Roundabout Teaching Artist will lead the discussion with interesting background information about the show, plus fun tidbits that will make the group feel like they’re getting the real inside scoop.
A Roundabout Teaching Artist will facilitate a discussion with your group directly following the play or musical you have just seen. Discussions will last approximately 15-20 minutes and take place in the theatre or in an event space. They are a wonderful opportunity for your group to reflect on the show's themes, ask questions about what you have just seen, and learn more about the theatremaking process.
Participate in a workshop designed specifically for your group's needs by choosing our Customized Workshop. We reccommend that your workshop focus on theatre through the lens of Acting, Musical Theatre, Theatrical Design, or Playwrighting. One or more of our Roundabout Teaching Artists will create a workshop for your group that covers your area of choice and connects to the play or musical you are about to see.

POSTCARD PRODUCTION WORKSHOPS
Postcard Production Workshop participants experience the process of creating a theatrical production as they explore how acting, directing, sets, lights and costumes convey meaning in theatre. During the workshop, participants fulfill the roles of set, costume, light and sound designers, stage managers, director, actors and marketing staff. They begin with a traditional "Meet and Greet" and then engage in making creative choices as they move through text analysis, design concept meetings and theatrical rehearsals. The workshop culminates with teams presenting their own interpretation of an excerpt from the play or musical they are about to see.
Cost: Starting at $1600
