n order to create a special space for our theatre patrons to relax before and during performances, an entirely new structure had to be created on top of the existing theatre. Building codes required that this penthouse lobby could not rest directly on the roof of the theatre. Instead, it was "floated" on the roof, resting on steel supports that were added on to the existing structural columns holding the theatre together.

he penthouse lobby provides a beautiful and spacious environment for Roundabout's audiences to enjoy a drink or a snack, take a view from the penthouse deck and have a place to call their own - their home away from home - whenever they come to see a Roundabout production at the American Airlines Theatre. In addition, our VIP patrons have the added comfort of a private area, the Langworthy Lounge, for complimentary food and beverages as well as other amenities.
