After-school Programs @ Roundabout offers a series of workshops and performances in its black box theatre for young people through two student-driven theatre companies:
VOICES focuses on preparing students for post-high school life, including college and careers, through disciplined theatre training.
Student Production Workshop, designed for students who are most at risk for dropping out of school, focus on reengaging students in their current education through student-driven theatre creation.
For more information about VOICES or Student Production Workshop or to schedule an audition or interview, please contact Education at (212)642-9629 or education@roundabouttheatre.org
Career Development provides hands-on learning opportunities for undergraduate students as well as for graduate students and post-baccalaureates interested in theatre administration careers through full and part-time internships. Interns share in daily organization and artistic operations and attend regular seminars with members of Roundabout's senior staff.
Internships typically run concurrent with the semester system. Production internships, when available, correspond with the schedule for that specific production and are available as requested by production staff. For administrative internships, Roundabout does offer some flexibility in terms of start and end dates and several departments offer part-time internships of at least 20 hours per week depending on the needs of that season.
