Education Celebration

Roundabout’s Arts-in-Education Benefit on Monday, December 2 at the chic Tribeca Grand Hotel was a great success for a great cause raising over $100,000 for the theatre’s education programs. Whether you sipped coffee, cola, or Cosmopolitans at the annual cocktail party, you enjoyed the special musical performance by Alan Cumming, the legendary Emcee from Roundabout’s award-winning revival of Cabaret. Guests also went home with exclusive dining, travel and entertainment packages from the silent auction.

Best of all, you joined the event’s chairs—Peter Davenport, Maureen A. Hayes, Susan and Robert Kravitz, Kara and Stephen Ross, and Donna Slade—in making history. For at this year’s benefit the first Roundabout Theatre Scholarship, generously established by the The Richard & Mica Hadar Foundation, was announced. The recipients, Darnell Holguin and Geneva Serrano, who received support to study theatre at college, were selected from the many talented New York City public school students who participate in Roundabout Theatre Company’s Arts-in-Education programs.
