Conceived and directed by longtime collaborator James Lapine, Sondheim on Sondheim is an intimate portrait of famed composer Stephen Sondheim in his own words. . . and music. Through the use of interviews, old and new, you’ll get an inside look at Sondheim's personal life and artistic process. An ensemble cast of Broadway's best will perform arrangements of over two dozen Sondheim tunes, ranging from the beloved to the unknown.

Stephen Sondheim has long been a champion of the next generation of musical theatre writers, so we're giving them the chance to champion him! Acclaimed musical director Paul Gemignani will helm this very personal tribute featuring Broadway's hottest musical talent teaming up to wish this Broadway legend a happy 80th birthday! Special performances by Bernadette Peters and other stars to be announced!

All proceeds will benefit the Musical Theatre Fund of Roundabout Theatre Company, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
