Foundation Relations and Government Grants Assistant

Roundabout Theatre Company, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatres, seeks a detail-oriented personable individual to join the company’s Development team as Foundation Relations and Government Grants Assistant. The position reports to the Foundation Relations Officer and is part of a team that is responsible for raising $17 million annually. The primary role of this position is to provide administrative support for the solicitation and stewardship of foundation and government donors.  
  • Process and coordinate acknowledgement and reporting for all foundation and government grants
  • Maintain an organized grants calendar and coordinate all assets to meet grantor deadlines
  • Research funding opportunities and complete research profiles on foundation and government prospects 
  • Work as a part of the foundation and government team to develop cases of support for Roundabout programs 
  • Assist the Director of Foundation Relations, Director of Development, and Executive Director with strategy and preparation for donor meetings 
  • Maintain foundation and government contact records in Tessitura
  • Organize donor communications including monthly e-news and event invitations
  • Assist with site visits and other Development events and projects as necessary 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Not-for-profit development experience preferred; interest in working with institutional donors is a must.
  • Must possess excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills and be highly organized. A keen attention to detail is required. 
  • A good sense of humor, tenacity, proactive problem-solving skills, and an ability to work well under pressure is essential.
  • Experience with Tessitura or CRM platform preferred.
  • A passion for theatre and arts education is a plus.
