2025–26 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN.

Roundabout is committed to supporting directors throughout their robust careers; the Roundabout Directing Programs were designed to support directors early in their careers.

The Directing Fellowship and Roundabout Directing Group were created specifically to provide a launchpad for artists who have traditionally been denied equitable opportunities in the theatre industry. To that end, we actively encourage applications from underrepresented groups, inclusive of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, veteran status, and disability status.

Applicants may apply to the Roundabout Directing Fellowship only, Roundabout Directors Group only, or both. Please read carefully about these two programs to decide which opportunity is best for you.

The 2025–26 Directing Fellowship starts in mid-August or Early September, 2025 and runs for 10 months.

RDG Cohort 7 runs September 2025–August 2026.
