Prior, she last starred on Broadway in the Tony Award nominated play, The Assembled Parties. She was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the recent revival of Arthur Miller\u2019s <em>A View from the Bridge<\/em> opposite Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson. Her other Broadway appearances include the revivals of <em>Harvey<\/em> opposite Jim Parsons, <em>Brighton Beach Memoirs<\/em> opposite Laurie Metcalf, <em>Julius Caesar<\/em> opposite Denzel Washington, <em>After the Fall<\/em> opposite Peter Krause and Carla Gugino, and her Broadway debut in the Tony Award winning play, <em>The Last Night of Ballyhoo<\/em>. Her many Off-Broadway appearances include starring roles in <em>The Three Sisters<\/em> (Classic Stage Company), <em>Make Me<\/em> (Atlantic Theater Company), <em>The House in Town<\/em> (Lincoln Center Theater), <em>Stop, Kiss<\/em> (The Public Theater), <em>Lobster Alice <\/em>(Playwrights Horizons), <em>Plunge<\/em> (Playwrights Horizons), <em>Flesh and Blood<\/em> (New York Theatre Workshop) and <em>The Fourth Sister<\/em> (Vineyard Theatre).  She has spent nine seasons at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, where she last played \u201cBlanche\u201d opposite Sam Rockwell in <em>A Streetcar Named Desire<\/em>.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>She will next be seen on film in Stacey Cochran\u2019s <em>A+ <\/em>and was most recently seen in Tim Blake Nelson\u2019s <em>Anesthesia<\/em>.  Her other recent films include <em>The English Teacher<\/em> with Julianne Moore, \u201cEmma Goldman\u201d in Clint Eastwood\u2019s <em>J. Edgar<\/em> with Leonardo DiCaprio, Rob Reiner\u2019s <em>The Summer of Monte Wildhorn <\/em>with Morgan Freeman, and Jonah Hill\u2019s mother in <em>The Sitter<\/em>. Other films include <em>Helena From the Wedding,<\/em><em>Fair Game<\/em> with Naomi Watts and Sean Penn, <em>The Winning Season<\/em> with Sam Rockwell, and Wes Craven\u2019s <em>My Soul to Take<\/em>.  She was also seen in Woody Allen\u2019s <em>Whatever Works <\/em>with Larry David, <em>Dan in Real Life<\/em> with Steve Carrell, <em>Starting out in the Evening<\/em> with Frank Langella, <em>Sideways<\/em> with Paul Giamatti, <em>The Forgotten<\/em> with Julianne Moore, and Tim Blake Nelson\u2019s <em>The Grey Zone<\/em>.  Ms. Hecht\u2019s extensive television work includes her recurring roles on \"Bored to Death\" opposite Ted Danson, \u201cBreaking Bad\u201d opposite Bryan Cranston and \u201cPerson of Interest.\u201d  Well known for her role as \u201cSusan\u201d on \u201cFriends,\u201d she also starred in \u201cThe Single Guy\u201d with Jonathan Silverman, and in James Brooks\u2019s \u201cWhat about Joan?\u201d with Joan Cusack. Her many memorable performances include guest appearances on numerous television series including \u201cThe Good Wife,\u201d \u201cNurse Jackie,\u201d \u201cER,\u201d \u201cSeinfeld\u201d and \u201cJessica Jones.\u201d  She will next be seen in the forthcoming series \u201cFalling Water\u201d and \u201cRed Oaks.\u201d<\/p>","website":"","alt":null}
