Hodge created and executive-produced Fox\u2019s hit summer series \u201cWayward Pines\u201d starring Academy Award-nominee Matt Dillon. Prior to that, he created NBC\u2019s \u201cThe Playboy Club\u201d starring Laura Benanti, and The CW\u2019s \u201cRunaway\u201d starring Donnie Wahlberg. Hodge co-wrote the book for the stage adaptation of Irving Berlin\u2019s 1942 movie-musical classic <em>Holiday Inn, The New Irving Berlin Musical<\/em>, which will make its Broadway debut with Roundabout Theatre Company. His film projects include <em>The Darkest Minds<\/em> for 20<sup>th <\/sup>Century Fox, based on the <em>New York Times<\/em> best-selling trilogy by Alexandra Bracken, and <em>Anita<\/em>, about the notorious singer and orange juice spokeswoman Anita Bryant. Hodge grew up in Chicago and graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University with degrees in Communication Studies and Business Institutions.
