Emmy, Grammy, Tony, and SAG Award nominee, Norm Lewis, recently starred in Spike Lee's critically acclaimed,<\/span><span> <\/span><span><em>Da 5 Bloods<\/em><\/span><span>, and in the groundbreaking FX series, \u201cPose.\u201d Additionally, Mr. Lewis can be seen starring in ABC's newest series, \u201cWomen of The Movement\u201d and offscreen, his voice can be heard in the latest season of Apple TV's animated series, \u201cCentral Park.\u201d He was also seen as 'Caiaphas' in the award-winning NBC television special, \u201cJesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert!\u201d alongside John Legend, Sara Bareilles, and Alice Cooper. Mr. Lewis returned to Broadway in the Fall of 2021, starring in<\/span><span> <\/span><span><em>Chicken and Biscuits<\/em><\/span><span> <\/span><span>at the Circle<\/span><span> <\/span><span>In<\/span><span> <\/span><span>The<\/span><span> Square Theatre. He previously appeared in the Broadway revival of <em>Once on This Island<\/em> and as Sweeney Todd in the Off-Broadway production of <em>Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street<\/em> at the Barrow Street Theatre, receiving the AUDELCO Award for his performance. In May of 2014, he made history as <em>The Phantom of the Opera\u2019s<\/em> first African American \u2018Phantom\u2019 on Broadway. He has been seen on PBS in the \u201cLive <\/span><span>From<\/span><span> Lincoln Center\u201d productions of <em>Showboat<\/em> with Vanessa Williams, \u201cNorm Lewis: Who Am <\/span><span>I?,<\/span><span>\u201d \u201cNew Year\u2019s Eve: A Gershwin Celebration\u201d with Diane Reeves, as well as \u201cAmerican Voices\u201d with Ren\u00e9e Fleming and the PBS Specials \u201cFirst You Dream \u2013 The Music of Kander & Ebb\u201d and \u201cElla Wishes You <\/span><span>A<\/span><span> <\/span><span>Swingin<\/span><span>' Christmas.\u201d He can be seen recurring in the VH1 series, \u201cDaytime Divas,\u201d also alongside Vanessa Williams. His additional television credits include \u201cLaw & Order,\u201d \u201cDr. Death,\u201d \u201cMrs. America,\u201d \u201cBetter Things,\u201d \u201cThe Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,\u201d \u201cBull,\u201d \u201cChicago Med,\u201d \u201cGotham,\u201d \u201cThe Blacklist,\u201d and \u201cBlue Bloods,\u201d as well as in his recurring role as Senator Edison Davis on the hit drama \u201cScandal.\u201d Mr. Lewis is a proud founding member of Black Theatre United, an organization which stands together to help protect Black people, Black talent and Black lives of all shapes and orientations in theatre and communities across the country. He received Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle award nominations for his performance as Porgy in the Broadway production of The <\/span><span>Gershwins<\/span><span>\u2019 <em>Porgy & Bess<\/em>. Other Broadway credits include <em>Sondheim on Sondheim, The Little Mermaid, Les Mis\u00e9rables, Chicago, Amour, The Wild Party, Side Show, Miss Saigon<\/em>, and <em>The Who\u2019s Tommy<\/em>. In London\u2019s West End he has appeared as Javert in <em>Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em> and <em>Les Mis\u00e9rables: The 25th Anniversary Concert<\/em>, which aired on PBS. Off-Broadway Mr. Lewis has performed in <em>Dessa Rose<\/em> (Drama Desk nomination, AUDELCO Award), Shakespeare in the Park\u2019s <em>The Tempest, The Two Gentlemen of Verona<\/em> (Drama League nomination), <em>Captains Courageous<\/em>, and <em>A New Brain<\/em>. His regional credits include Porgy in The <\/span><span>Gershwins<\/span><span>\u2019 <em>Porgy and Bess<\/em> (A.R.T.), <em>Ragtime, Dreamgirls<\/em> (with Jennifer Holliday), <em>First You Dream, Sweeney Todd<\/em>, and <em>The Fantasticks<\/em>.
