Scott Ellis currently serves as the Interim Artistic Director of Roundabout Theatre Company, a home for many of his most acclaimed productions. On Broadway, his credits range from the recent revivals of <em>Art, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, <\/em>and <em>Doubt<\/em> to <em>Take Me Out<\/em> (Tony Award, Best Revival), <em>Tootsie, Kiss Me, Kate, She Loves Me,<\/em> and <em>On the Twentieth Century,<\/em> along with <em>You Can\u2019t Take It With You, Harvey, Curtains, The Little Dog Laughed, Twelve Angry Men, The Rainmaker, The Man Who Had All the Luck, Company, A Month in the Country,<\/em> and S<em>teel Pier. <\/em>His work has been recognized with nine Tony Award nominations. Ellis has also made his mark Off-Broadway with productions such as <em>Amy and the Orphans, The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin, Dada Woof Papa Hot, Gruesome Playground Injuries, Streamers, Good Boys and True, Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Flora the Red Menace<\/em> (Drama Desk nomination), A<em>nd the World Goes \u2019Round<\/em> (Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards), and <em>The Waverly Gallery. <\/em>On television, Ellis served as executive producer for <em>Weeds<\/em> and has directed episodes of <em>30 Rock<\/em> (Emmy nomination for Best Director), <em>Modern Family, The Closer, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,<\/em> and <em>\u00c9toile<\/em>. For 25 years, Scott has been a mentor with the Wendy Wasserstein Project through the Theatrical Development Fund, working with over 250 students.<\/p>","website":"","alt":""}
