About the Show

Direct from a smash-hit run on London's West End, this new production of Tony Kushner (Angels in America) and Jeanine Tesori’s (Fun Home) explosive musical launches to “the titanic dimensions of greatness" (Ben Brantley, The New York Times).

The “incandescent” (Holly Williams, Time Out London) Sharon D Clarke stars in an exhilarating, Olivier Award-winning performance as Caroline, an African-American maid whose world of 1963 Louisiana ripples with change both large and small.

Erupting with transcendent songs and larger-than-life imagination, Caroline, or Change explores how, in times of great transformation, even the simplest acts shake the earth.

AGE APPROPRIATENESS

This production is recommended for ages 11 and up.

ACCESSIBILITY

Studio 54 is wheelchair accessible on the Orchestra level only. Assistive listening devices and large print playbills are available. On-demand captioning and audio description is available via GalaPro on select dates after opening (please confirm availability with Roundabout’s audience services team).

COMPLIMENTARY DISCUSSIONS AND ADD-ON ACTIVITIES

Complimentary pre-theatre talks are held every Tuesday, half an hour prior to curtain in the lobby. Join the artists and Education staff for a complimentary post-show discussion following select matinee performances.

Student groups also have access to add-on experiences, led by Roundabout Teaching Artists. Add-on experiences include pre- or post-show insights about the show and customized workshops. To learn more about booking an add-on experience, contact groupsales@roundabouttheatre.org.
