The Director of Technology Services is a strategic, results-oriented professional leading the Information Technology department. The Director of Technology Services will oversee all technology-related activities, with the exception of show production technologies. The successful candidate will be someone who is excited by the prospect of working for a premier non-profit arts organization, has excellent communication and management skills, a strong customer-service orientation and is fascinated by how AI and other new technologies can be used to improve the business operations and bottom-line success of Roundabout Theatre Company.
This is some of what the Director of Technology Services will do:
- Manage all infrastructure in and between five locations, including administrative offices and four theater locations
- Ensure that the technical environment is secure, stable, and supportable, including final responsibility for systems and data security and user security training
- Oversee desktop support for approximately 175 full time users and an additional 50 temporary and part time users
- Support for the Sales and Analytics Department’s administration of the Tessitura ticketing/CRM system and use of the system organization wide.
- Phone systems servicing both business users and the in-house call center
- Management of the Roundabout Intranet to provide access to organizational resources and foster collaboration and communication for all departments and staff
- Manage technology planning and future-proofing for two upcoming major theater renovations
- Portfolio and Project Management servicing all of the above
- Develop and manage all annual and project budgets
- Develop and manage an annual and 3-yr IT strategic plan, in close coordination with the organization’s approach to strategic planning
- Manage all in-house and consulting staff as well as external vendors
- Craft and maintain IT policies including those for security, privacy and use of systems
- Responsibility for PCI compliance, reporting and attesting
- Report regularly to Senior Management and key stakeholders on overall project status
- Ensure that the Information Technology department is transparent and open in its delivery of services
- Research and develop technology innovation to improve service to Roundabout staff and the constituents we serve
- Represent Roundabout in various communities such as CIOArts
This is some of what the Director of Technology Services will bring:
- At least 5-10 years of progressively senior roles in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- A strong technical background in infrastructure management and organizational IT service
- A strong orientation towards project and portfolio management and customer service
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of using new technologies to streamline organizational operations and improve efficiency
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience working in a large nonprofit a plus
- Experience with Tessitura a strong plus
- Experience with web development and SDLC, cloud migrations and managed services preferred
- Exposure to and/or experience with the following technologies:
- MS Windows, MS SQL Server, and associated tools
- Microsoft 365, including organizational use and administration of Active Directory, Exchange/Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and associated products as well as expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and knowledge of other Office desktop products
- Microsoft Defender suite
- Fortinet firewalls and switches
- Sysaid/help desk ticketing systems
- Tessitura/ticketing and CRM systems
- Financial Edge/accounting systems
- ADP Workforce Now/HR systems
- Five9/Call Center systems
This is a full-time position with all standard Roundabout benefits. The salary for the role is $170,000–$190,000 annually.
