Think about a book, movie, play, or television show you’ve read or seen that shares themes with the bandaged place. Choose one character from the bandaged place and one from the other piece of media and create a Venn diagram to compare the two. Reflect on the following comparisons between the characters: cultural identity, meaningful life experiences, family structure, where they live, profession, age. Feel free to draw additional comparisons. When you finish review your diagram – how similar or different are these characters? What is the biggest difference or similarity? If you want to extend this activity, write a short scene where these characters meet and one gives the other advice.

Recall a moment when your relationship with someone changed. Some examples could be a moment of conflict, a break up, sharing a secret, a moment you went through together, etc. Think about the emotions you associate with the memory, how you felt before, and you felt after. Write a scene where you are speaking with past you from before this moment. What questions does past you have? How has current you changed?
