Roundabout Theatre Company is one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatre companies. The Todd Haimes Theatre is a Broadway house, and Roundabout customarily produces up to three productions at this theatre each season. This is a Local 764 position.  Job commences early September 2026.


Responsibilities
:

The duties of the position of Wardrobe Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all wardrobe department activities for rehearsals and performances for each production.
  • Supervise and schedule wardrobe assistants, dressers, and laundry personnel as required.
  • Maintain costume plots, tracking sheets, and wardrobe paperwork.
  • Inspect costumes regularly for wear and coordinate repairs or alterations.
  • Manage costume cleaning, laundering, pressing, and storage.
  • Coordinate quick changes and backstage costume operations.
  • Work closely with the costume designer, production management, and stage management teams.
  • Maintain costume inventory and organize replacement pieces as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with union rules, safety standards, and production policies.
  • Manage wardrobe budgets, supplies, and purchasing when required.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely weekly payroll for the wardrobe department to the Company Manager.


Requirements:

  • Prior extensive professional experience in wardrobe stage work.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and resourcefulness
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to collaboration.
  • Experience with and knowledge of garment construction, alterations, sewing, and fabric care.
  • Proficient computer abilities including email, Word, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods, climb multiple flights of stairs multiple times per day, and lift and carry heavy costumes, ability to work in tight spaces and in pressure situations.


Pay and Benefits:

Salary is the minimum pursuant to the collectively bargained agreement (CBA) between Local 764 and Roundabout Theatre Co. for the Todd Haimes Theatre. Current Rates as of 03-23-26: $51.56/hour,  $2,062.40 for a 40 hour week. Other rates of pay may be earned for overtime and other activities in accordance with the CBA. 

Local 764 Benefits, including Pension, Annuity, Vacation, and Welfare in accordance with Roundabout Theatre Company Todd Haimes Local 764 CBA.

Guarantee of 40 weeks per contract year.
