Teaching & Learning.

Through longstanding partnerships at schools in all five boroughs, as well as our Roundabout Youth Ensemble, Roundabout uses theatre to deepen student learning, enhance teacher practice, and provide after-school engagement for over 4,000 NYC public school students. Our work, which delivers over six months of program hours annually, supports students’ social emotional learning and a positive school climate.

Career Training.

Roundabout fosters the next generation of theatre professionals through Career and Workforce development programs. To date, the Theatrical Workforce Development Program has trained 154 Fellows, 89% of whom are still working in the field. Current and former Technical Fellows work annually at nearly 100 partner institutions, theatres, production companies, and arts organizations, including more than 19 Broadway shows.

Community Partnerships.

Building on strong relationships with our schools, audiences, and community partners, we seek to use theatre to deepen connections to our local communities and ensure that Roundabout is welcoming and inclusive to New Yorkers of all ages. Since 2023,our work with libraries, community gardens, and partner organizations has helped us distribute more than 17,800 Pay-What-You-Wish tickets, a $1.8 million investment to build audiences and expand access to the theatre.
