MIDORI FRANCIS (Kyeoung).<\/strong> At age 6, Midori Francis dreamed of playing \u201cAnnie\" on Broadway. That didn\u2019t happen but the seed was planted. Midori joined the local community theatre scene in New Jersey and when cast in a production of Titanic at 10 years old, she realized that acting was something more than an after-school activity. Since earning her BFA in Theatre from Rutgers, Francis has earned accolades for her roles in the award-winning play, The Wolves<\/em> (LCT), directed by Lila Neuberger, which garnered her Obie and Drama Desk Awards for Best Ensemble, and Connected<\/em> (59E59), for which she won NYIT Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress.<\/p>

This fall Midori stars as \u201cKyeoung\u201d in the Roundabout Underground world premiere production of Ming Peiffer\u2019s Usual Girls<\/em>, directed by Tyne Rafaeli. The new drama, which follows the story of Kyeoung\u2014from a schoolyard tackle and beyond\u2014is billed as a \"hilarious, explicit gut-punch of a play.\u201d Midori is currently shooting the Universal Pictures comedy, Good Boys<\/em>, produced by Seth Rogen and directed by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, to be released in 2019. Earlier this year, Midori appeared in the epically female-centric, Ocean\u2019s Eight<\/em>. Midori\u2019s TV resume includes episodes of \u201cGotham,\u201d \u201cDivorced,\u201d and \u201cYounger.\u201d Her regional theatre work encompasses roles ranging from \u201cMolly\u201d in Peter and the Starcatcher <\/em>(Virginia Stage Co.) to \u201cNina\u201d in Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike<\/em> (Syracuse Stage).
