2026–2027 Student Matinees.

The Imaginary Invalid

Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 12:30pm

A man convinced he’s dying surrounds himself with doctors, prescriptions, and increasingly ridiculous remedies. But when his family begins poking holes in every diagnosis, the question shifts from how to avoid death to how to live.

Recommended for students ages 14 and up due to some comedic allusions to sex; mild adult language.

The Heart

Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 12:30pm

A young surfer’s life is cut short. A stranger suddenly has a second chance. And the lifeforce of one beating heart drives two families and a medical team through 24 hours that couldn’t matter more. This new musical will immerse you in a gripping world of motion, cutting-edge sound, and undeniable hope.

Recommended for students ages 14 and up due to grief/loss; medical/hospital trauma; flashing lights and other high stimulation design elements.

Mix and Master

Student Matinee Date TBD

The last record shop in the Bronx is on its final spin. When a rising DJ refuses to let the music die, generations collide in a rhythm-filled battle over legacy, survival, and what it takes to stay in the mix.

The Grief Eater Near North Bender

Student Matinee Date TBD

A creature stalks the woods outside a small town, devouring the people you love most and erasing them from memory. When three unlikely allies join forces to hunt it down, grief and revenge collide in a surreal comic story of love, loss, and the cost of facing what we’d rather outrun.

Recommended for students ages 16 and up due to alcohol use/alcoholism; grief/loss; adult language.

The Full Monty

Student Matinee Date TBD

Just how far are out-of-work Buffalo men willing to go? As it turns out—all the way. This revival follows six men who are putting it all on the line by taking it all off.

Recommended for students ages 16 and up due to sexual themes/content, some homophobic/fatphobic language; reference to suicide; discussion of gender and racebased stereotypes.
