Roundabout Theatre Company (“RTC”) takes reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent exposure, misuse or loss of your data.  Your personal information is stored in a database hosted and maintained by a certified PCI compliant third party in a certified secure installation.  All financial transactions entered through our website are protected by encryption technology.  RTC cannot be responsible for the transmission of information over the Internet which is out of its control.

RTC exercises reasonable care in mitigating any potential issues associated with the operation of our website, including, but not limited to, utilizing security software applications and employing computer consultants. We realize, however, that a multitude of technical issues can arise in our website operations. To this effect, RTC does not warrant that the functions contained on the website will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that RTC's web pages or ISP or server operations that host or transmit any web page or content contained thereon is free of viruses or other harmful defects.

Vaccines are no longer required to enter Roundabout venues.

By entering a Roundabout Theatre Company venue, theatregoer assumes all risks associated with entering a place of public gathering  and voluntarily waives any and all claims and potential claims against Roundabout Theatre Company relating to COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness, or that arise from or relate in any way to, however caused, the risk of exposure or actual or alleged exposure to a bacteria, virus or other pathogen capable of causing COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness, in each case whether the actual or alleged circumstances giving rise to any claim or potential claim occur before, during, or after the event.  

Ticketing

LATECOMERS WILL BE SEATED AT THE DISCRETION OF MANAGEMENT. NO REFUNDS. THE USE OF CAMERAS, RECORDING DEVICES, AND OTHER UNAPPROVED ELECTRONIC DEVICES DURING THE PERFORMANCE IS PROHIBITED.

Approved ticket exchanges are subject to fees and applicable price increases and are based on availability. Tickets include a $2.00 facility fee and purchases are subject to non-refundable handling fees. Tickets purchased from unauthorized sources may be counterfeit or otherwise invalid; such purchases are made at your own risk. Your ticket(s) may not be copied or reproduced in any form. Your ticket(s) constitutes a revocable license and the management reserves the right to refuse admission or revoke tickets at any time, for any reason. Accessible locations are only for ticketholders who require the features of those locations. Ticketholders seated in these areas who do not require these features may be relocated.

By attending a Roundabout Theatre Company event, you are entering an area where photography, video, and audio recording may occur. Your attendance at any of our events grants your permission to be in these photos or video when such media is released.

Interpretation
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions of Use is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and other provisions shall remain enforceable and in full effect. No failure or delay in enforcing any term, exercising any option or requiring performance shall be a waiver of that or any other right.


Rewards by Roundabout

Rewards by RoundaboutSM (“Rewards”) is a loyalty program offered by Roundabout Theatre Company (“RTC”)RTC reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel Rewards and/or these Terms and Conditions or any policy, FAQ, or guideline pertaining to Rewards at any time and in its sole discretionAny changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the revisions to roundabouttheatre.org, and you waive any right you may have to receive specific notice of such changes or modificationsParticipation in Rewards confirms your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and any such changes or modifications; therefore, you should review these Terms and Conditions and applicable policies frequently to make sure you are aware of the most current terms and conditions that apply to RewardsIf you then do not agree with the Terms and Conditions, you may opt out of the program by calling RTC’s Audience Services department at 212.719.1300.

Information about how to accrue and use Rewards points can be found below.  It is also important that you know: 

  • Accruing Points:
    • Rewards points will be awarded at the rate of five points per dollar spent based on the base price of a ticket inclusive of the $2 per ticket facility fee but exclusive of additional fees for ticket purchases for RTC productions in RTC venues
      • This includes, but is not limited to: Single tickets (full price, discount, subscriber add-on, Hiptix, Hiptix Gold, Generation Roundabout, and non-commissionable group tickets) purchased directly through RTC at the box office, by phone, or on roundabouttheatre.org
        • Single tickets purchased through some RTC integrated channels (awarding of points sold by others will be solely at the discretion of RTC)
    • This excludes:
      • Tickets for productions at non-RTC venues
      • Tickets for non-RTC (rental) productions at RTC venues
      • Commissionable group sales
      • Subscription package tickets
      • Tickets sold through a non-RTC integrated channel
    • For Prime, Open, and Saver subscribers, Donor-level Friends of Roundabout and higher, Chairman’s Circle Members, and Artistic Director’s Circle Members, Rewards points will be awarded at the rate of ten points per dollar spent subject to the same inclusions and exclusions as above.
    • Points are accrued only after the performance date has passed, not on the purchase date (if different) 
  • Redeeming Points:
    • There are no handling fees on a Rewards ticket when redeemed. If one or more companion tickets are purchased at the time of redemption, those tickets are subject to standard fees.
    • Only one ticket may be redeemed with Rewards points per order
    • After the required number of points have been accrued, they may be redeemed online, by phone or at the Todd Haimes Theatre box office as follows:
      • 3,500 points for one “Broadway” ticket for a RTC produced show at the Todd Haimes Theatre 
      • 2,000 points for one “off-Broadway” ticket at for a RTC produced show at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre
      • 1,000 points for one Roundabout Underground ticket at the Black Box Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.
    • Rewards points are only valid for a free ticket; not a discount off the price of a ticket
    • Premium seats are not eligible for redemption
    • Points are non-transferable; however, Rewards tickets may be transferred
    • Rewards tickets are subject to the same exchange policy as purchased tickets
    • All Rewards points expire August 31, 2024.
    • As of 9/1/23, Roundabout has an accrual limit of 10,000 Rewards points
    • Points cannot be redeemed for subscription purchase or renewal
    • Rewards tickets for specific dates and performances are subject to availability 
  • General terms & conditions:
    • To participate in the Rewards program independently you must be at least 18 years of age. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may access and participate in the Rewards program only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions
    • There are no enrollment fees and no maintenance fees for the program
    • Points accumulated under the program have no cash value and are only redeemable pursuant to these Terms and Conditions
    • Points do not constitute property of a Rewards program participant and may be revoked at any time by RTC. Points may not be transferred or assigned, and are not transferable upon death, as part of a domestic relations matter or otherwise by operation of law
    • Rewards points may be shared among members of an RTC recognized household account subject to RTC’s guidelines for such accounts
    • Rewards tickets are subject to the same exchange policy as purchased tickets
    • RTC reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether points have been earned and should have been posted to your account. You acknowledge that any such determination by RTC will be final and binding.

Subscription Sales

IMPORTANT: Subscription sales are final, and include non-refundable handling fees.

Tickets may be exchanged, subject to availability. Open Subscription Seats must be booked before the last performance of a production. No compensation will be offered for any unbooked Open Subscriptions and tickets are not exchangeable between productions. Requests for seating upgrades are processed in order of receipt and with preference to your donation level. PLAYS, PERFORMERS AND PERFORMANCE SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. Performance dates may include preview performances. Roundabout may share your name and postal address with other companies who will offer you specific promotions that may interest you, particularly discounts to other theatrical productions.

HIPTIX at Roundabout Application

The following types of data are processed in the Hiptix app:

Disclosed by the customer

  • Place of interest
  • Name
  • E-mail address
  • Date of birth (optional for special offers)
  • Payment and credit card data, voucher data
  • Contents of messages or reviews of the customer
  • ID card copies. The relevant metadata such as ID card number, type of ID card, validity, place and date of issue, date of birth are extracted and stored. Afterwards, the ID card copy is deleted immediately.

Additionally collected by the responsible party

  • IP addresses (log files)
  • User ID, push token, device ID, localization (language setting)
  • Web view used
  • Used device
  • Communication protocol
  • Information about account usage (e.g. creation date, number of logins, date of last request)
  • Information about purchased tickets
  • User behavior data (e.g.: event viewed, favorited, added to shopping cart, purchased, rated).
  • Purposes of data processing - contract fulfillment or preparation
    • Keeping information about (cultural) events available for retrieval
    • Provision of services to recommend events based on the user's interests (with opt-out option at anytime)
    • Availability of online stores of the event organizers for the purchase of tickets
    • Provision of communication channels for the dissemination of content and maintenance of the customer relationship
    • Fulfillment of contractual obligations from the service contract with the responsible party
    • Fulfillment of contractual obligations arising from the purchase and event contract concluded with the organizer


How
to delete your Hiptix App account?
To delete your account you have to go to the bottom bar and select the menu item "My profile". If you scroll to the bottom of this menu, you will find the item "Delete account" directly under Log out. You can of course also contact Audience Services at audiencservices@roundabouttheatre.org.

What happens when I delete my account in the app?
When a user requests to delete their account within the app, the account in the app will be immediately deactivated and any personally identifiable information associated with it will be anonymized or deleted.

If a user has made purchases through our app, certain data must be retained for tax purposes. In compliance with legal requirements, we store transaction records and accompanying data for a period of seven years. This duration ensures that we maintain accurate documentation of the transaction, providing necessary records for tax compliance.


Roundabout Theatre Company is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent as permitted by the IRS.
